ISABELLE + DANIEL
[EN] Isabelle and Daniel are two German citizens—she of Romanian origin, and he of Peruvian origin—who chose to have their wedding at Sun Garden in Cluj-Napoca. It was truly a pleasure for me to document this event, especially because it featured such an interesting cultural mix.
In the morning, they got ready in two separate rooms at Sun Garden, each surrounded by their closest friends. Then we headed to the Piarist Church in Cluj-Napoca, where they had their First Look moment. Isabelle was walked down the aisle by her father, as is tradition in the Roman Catholic faith.
Even though I didn’t understand much (since the ceremony was in German), I was completely drawn in by the emotional atmosphere created by the baroque architecture and the sound of the pipe organ, which dates back to 1740.
After the ceremony, we did a short photo session in the city center, and then returned to Sun Garden, where the reception took place in the Queen Marie Hall.
As I mentioned above, their wedding beautifully blended traditional elements from both Romania and Peru. In addition to a photo corner decorated in the folk style of the two countries, there were also two performances of traditional dances.
At sunset, we went out for another round of portraits with the couple in the Sun Garden courtyard. We had a lot of fun there, especially when Daniel got to film a few shots of Isabelle. You can’t imagine how excited the groom was to be (once again) behind the camera. In Germany, they both work in the photo-video industry, so this time, they got to experience what their clients usually feel.
The party went on late into the night, with both Latin and international music. I really loved being around them and had an amazing time at the wedding.

[RO] Isabelle și Daniel sunt doi cetățeni germani, ea de origine română, iar el de origine peruană, care au ales să-și facă nunta la Sun Garden Cluj-Napoca. Pentru mine a fost o deosebită plăcere să documentez acest eveniment, mai ales că am avut parte de un mix cultural interesant.
De dimineață ei s-au pregătit în două camere separate de la Sun Garden împreună cu cei mai apropiați prieteni, iar apoi ne-am dus la Biserica Piariștilor din Cluj-Napoca unde au avut momentul de First Look, Isabelle fiind condusă la altar de tatăl ei, așa cum e tradiția la romano-catolici.
Chiar dacă n-am înțeles mare lucru (ceremonia fiind în germană), m-am lăsat cuprins de atmosfera emoționantă creată de arhitectura barocă și de sunetul orgii care datează din 1740.
Când s-a terminat ceremonia am făcut o scurtă ședință foto în centrul orașului, iar apoi ne-am întors la Sun Garden unde petrecerea a avut loc în Sala Regina Maria.
După cum vă spuneam mai sus, nunta lor a combinat foarte frumos elementele tradiționale din România și Peru. Pe lângă faptul că am avut photo corner decorat în stilul popular al celor două țări, am avut și două reprezentații de dansuri tradiționale.
La apus, am ieșit la încă o tură de fotografii cu cei doi miri în curtea de la Sun Garden. Acolo ne-am distrat copios pentru că l-am lăsat pe Daniel să filmeze câteva cadre cu Isabelle. Nici nu vreți să știți ce entuziasmat era mirele să fie (din nou) în spatele camerei. În Germania, amândoi se ocupă cu domeniul foto-video, deci acum au simțit și ei ce simt clienților lor.
Petrecerea a continuat până seara târziu, cu muzică latino, dar și internațională. Mi-a plăcut super mult de ei și m-am simțit extraordinar la nuntă.
